Old news about a ball.
« on: February 21, 2006, 03:17:17 PM »
No doubt this is old news, but thought I'd speak up.  Just got a used Onslaught and re-drilled it tonight.  MB 1/2" under thumb, pin outside of and below finger 1 1/2" down from finger, 3" over from midline.  Medium wt hole 2" under PAP.  I thought this might roll early as it had 1/2 oz. thumb (7/8 oz. side), but it went long and turned hard.  Covered slightly less (I was 2 right w/ my feet) than my Buzsaw Purple Pro, but goes longer and turns harder.  Shot 257 out the box w/ 4 practice shots.  Had I just not lost focus I'd have shot big (but 672 isn't bad w/ a new piece, imo.)  This won't replace my Pro Purple, but it will accompany it (More often than not I find I want slightly earlier rolling stuff, and the Purple is, maybe, 10-12 feet earlier.)

Good grief, I may start buying Mo's stuff.

I've read that this is the most angular of the Morich balls.  Well, angular hardly describes the turn it makes.  Also of note is that when flush it made a distinct noise; not CRASH, not BOOM, not THUNDER PEAL, but more of a lightening CRACK!!

So, what Morich stuff compliments this?  Above or below?  Can you generalize that a layout you like on one Morich ball will be good on others?

I'm hungry, I smell meat, I want some!!

Bob, if it matched this time...more than likely (given the same core) you're going to match elsewhere! (I love this core....I have 3 pieces w/ this core, Mayhem and 2 Hercs!)

The beauty with Mo's stuff (and most strong asymms) is that slight tweaks DO make a difference,...in pin location, mb location, weight holes and surfaces! Wait until you change the surface on this bad-boy! You'll like it!

You may want to try another piece and put a different drill on it entirely to see if it too will match up.

Above and below the 'slaught ?  Above would be the Total Annialation, below, the Sahara (or depending on how much dry you see a Ravage might be better)...all basically the same core ......

HUNGRY BOB ?!?!?
