First 300 in the midst of a mediocre night...
« on: June 07, 2006, 01:33:40 PM »
In what was a so so night of bowling for myself I managed to pull out my new Ravage and tossed a nice 300 this evening.

I was having trouble sliding for the first set and grabbed my Ravage for the first game of the second set.  Still wasn't sliding quite right, but after moving pairs tossed 12 in a row without a warmup on the new pair.

Opted for a ring seeing as it's my first award score, but I'll probably stick to watches or plaques in the future.  Unless of course I've got the money to upgrade to gold.

My Ravage is kept at a matte finish with a used grey pad...

Like I was saying... it was a mediocre night.  685 for the first three and finished the night with a 890+ 4 game series.

Still above my average for this league, but I would have liked to put up a 900 at least.  Maybe next week I'll just bring 2 balls and shoot 1000...  LOL

I think you mean 585 for the first three if it was 685 then you have a 985 and a great set and average of 246.25.

The 300 was game 3, not game 4.  My math is correct.

Ok, my bad.  The Ravage is a great ball though.  I love mine, also in matte finish for when I need more length and backend than my S&Ds.  In matte finish it is a deceptively strong ball.  If I can get a hold of another (which may be possible as I throw 16) I think I'll slap a foward roll drilling on it for when the backends are fresh/uncontrollable and leave it in box.  With my current drilling I hated the box finish.
