Opinions sought...
« on: November 21, 2005, 03:17:35 AM »
Hi,

I am soliciting opinions about a choice for a Morich Med/Heavy to Heavy oil ball.  I currently have a Sahara, Onslaught, and Shock and Awe.  I would like to have one that will handle more oil than the Shock and Awe.

I have been debating between the Total Annihilation and the Total Shock and Awe.  If you have an opinion or experience with either and/or both, please share it with me and assist me in my decision making.

Thanks, Scott

Scott,

No experience w/ what you've listed, however, I've had both the WMB and the S&A (vangaurd core).

You can choose either, the TS&A or the Seek&Destroy coming real soon!

I personally prefer the core in the T/A more than the Vangaurd, but if you like the S&A ..stay w/ the vanguard core and look at the TSA or S&D

I think you have that the other way around.  All of the Total Annihilations I've seen are earlier and rollier than the Total Shock and Awes which do roll early but draw a sharper shape of a breakpoint down the lane(especially when polished).

If you want to do a real test, polish both a Total Annihilation and a Total Shock and Awe same drilling and everything, TS&A should be more angular.

Now the ball layout is 2 3/4"x7/8" RT and 2" up, which I guess means its a control drill.

You mean , ... 2 3/4 x 6 7/8 and 2 up .....Ahhhh the control drill.....a sneaky strong (but smooth) drill that revs late and hits like a tank!! LOVE THAT DRILL, thinking of putting that on another ball some day soon! It works great for a Hercules! Perfect for a nice controllable medium ball!

Though its still hanging up in carrydown which is kinda why I got it, but its doing a much better job then my other equipment.

I usually play more right or straight up the boards when playing my control drill Hercules in fresh....usually it can get around the early carry-down...if you can , sneak a little right next week...if the lanes allow it

Really starting to get comfortable with the TA (practiced a bunch last night and really got it going).

I will have another post regarding assymetric balls in the next few minutes!

It if drilled first time(I've had a bunch of balls with that core drilled used...all duds).  Is awesome!

I also saw the Seek and destroy last night and I think it is JUST TOO much!
I am a big fan of the WMB!  Don't own one yet!
