Title: Ravage II on EBAY
Post by: JPRLane1 on November 23, 2004, 12:00:38 AM
Could this be a Ravage with Activator coverstock.  My guess would be yes looks very pearly to me.  I do recall Brian Pinel however saying that they didn't like activator on some of their cores.  Does anyone know for sure? It is definitely a pearl.  Perhaps the same cover they used on the Punisher new N control Powerboost?

I doubt it's Activator.  KOTM, who seems to have the inside scoop, said that Mo's cores and Activator don't match up well.

When I read about the Total Annhilation it says enhanced Reactivated.

That sure sounds like it could be Morich in a Uranium Inferno Wrapper.

Same or almost same core as Ravage, Mayhem.

After reading this first post i went out to my local driller and he had a few of these in the shop. I drilled mine up pin about 1/2 up and to the right of the ring, it had about a 1.5 inch pin so the pin was sittin right next to the ring finger. The ball came with 3.7 top weight so i drilled the fingers 4 in deep and had to add a weight hole to take out the extra side and finger weight. I took it out and threw it on THS and ended up standing about 35 taking it out to 5 and watching it scream back, this ball went FOREVER. I was amazed by this balls delayed reaction then the sharp angle it created as it entered the pocket, i left two ten pins in 10 games with it. I would highly recomend this ball for anyone looking for some length and angle by morich.

Up to 137.50 plus freight now.

I had some 1 on 1 time with Mo this weekend when he visited Detroit.  This is not an Activator or Ncontrol cover.

C4 Reactivated is definitely not Brunswicks Activator, it is a custom Morich blend with non-particle fillers to enhance the porosity of the powrkoil he used as a starting base.  Activator in comparison is a very mellow cover, which is why Brunswick uses such low RG cores in it (and why Mo's cores roll poopy with it- they would "hit the mechanic in the forehead" before they would read).

Think of the RavII as a pearl TA.

You are correct Bob. I think one of the boys from here is the proud owner. The seller now has "one", "a pair", and "a case"; for sale NOW!!! Ya can't blame him. I spoke with my driller today about getting a couple of cases from Mo to do the same thing. Are overseas ball ABC approved?

Take care,   Jeff

The Story on the Ravage II is...

An overseas ball created to fit the taste of asain bowlers... they like skid flip in large amounts.  This ball has Activator+ on it, which is a less aggressive resin than the C4 Reactivated and R.A.V.; utilizing the high torque asymmetrical block from the Ravage but allowing for significantly more skid due to the less aggressive coverstock, resulting in a flippier reaction than the Original Ravage.

I spent the afternoon with Mo on Tuesday, and had all kinds of questions about his covers and such... and regarding the Ravage II he said it was Activator+ to accomodate the Asian market's seeming fascination with extreme skid-flip.  C4 was a bit too agressive for thier tastes as Activater isn't agressive enough for our stateside preference for smoother reactions and higher volumes of oil.
