Ravage IV Details
« on: January 15, 2007, 12:30:37 PM »
Anyone have any details on this Ravage IV? How does it differ from the regular Ravage? I just got one bundled with a Total Annihilation, and I'm curious as to how this one will perform.

Where did you get them?

Ebay, won it from Clint Daley. Both are first drill, never thrown.

I own a Ravage IV and it is pretty cool I have it drilled like this Pin is 1 inch right of the finger holes and mass bias is underneath my thumb PAP is out 4 inches maybe 4 1/2 at the most. Anyway the ball. It has Brunswicks PK 17 coverstock pearlized on it with the Total Annhilations core. it hooks and hits like an animal just blows the rack apart, even with the weaker cover it hooks a pretty good amount I have used it to play inside lines already. Drill pattern I used promote an earlier roll with a easy arcing motion at the break.
A more traditional drill pattern I can not speak for but I assume it would be equal to most mid level stuff on the market if not a touch stronger

Really? The BBR.com thing says it's meant for Medium-Heavy oil.

Would this fit between an Original Inferno and Tropical Storm, then? If so, I may have to drill this up immediately.

I have two Ravages and two Ravage IVs drilled up and for myself, the Ravage IV is better on oilier lanes than my Ravages with OOB surfaces. Both pairs are drilled the same so its not the layouts. Both are on my favorites list but the cover on the Ravage is probably a little more tunable than the Ravage IV. Both have excellent carry and predictable hook with either a short pin or longer pin layout for myself. But again I use the Ravage IV when the lanes are a little slicker or when theres some carrydown.

Hope this helps a bit.
