Is it better to polish it up for a later reaction, or increase the grit, b/c i heard it's 360 w/rb.  what about 1000,2000, or even 4000?

If memory serves me correcly, Rough Buff is close to 2000 abralon.  RB is no stronger than 1500.  Either way, polish or 4000, should get you the reaction you're looking for, 4000 abralon or wet sand may be a tad smoother than polish/extender, which may be snappier.  If you need midlane help on the pattern I'd go with 4000 first, otherwise polish...
