I have a S&A and as a reference a friend's AF which I have thrown.
IMHO, both balls are quite similar. The AF has for me a touch more length and is snappy at the break point, while the S&A breaks a little earlier, also very hard and sharp, but gets into a better roll. Both balls do OOB not like much oil or carrydown.
I'd rate both balls equal in strength, but as Drrev2000 describes, it is much about reaction shape. The AF is "flippier" than the S&A, but you will probably notice the difference only in direct comparison.
Personally, I like the S&A more, because it moves that little earlier, but that might just stem from the fact that it is my personal ball and I am used to it.
