I have the opportunity to get a killer deal on a Ravage, but I'm not sure what difference I would see in comparison to my Shock & Awe. http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/wODM0MDU1NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg
What reaction difference should I expect? Would I really see any? If I do get it, I'm thinking of setting up the Ravage as: 3 3/8 X 6 (Sharp Breakpoint).
On a side note, I'm having a problem with my WOMB not flaring. It has no problem moving somewhat in the dry, nothing in the oil, only shows one oil ring. I don't get it!

Thanks!

Well my s&a seems to be much more powerful than my ravage, with similar drillings and surfaces.

One of the warnings on the WMB drill sheet is NEVER put the mass bias on the negative side.
Our local pro shop owner did and it was a total dud.
He then drilled one after reading the drill sheet with Mass bias on positive side and is getting his highest average in years!

PS i have yet to see one that doesn't flare for anyone but I did not see his drilling mistake, he told me about it!

I had a problem at first with hitting the thumb hole, but lately I haven't been hitting it as often. It does flare, just not in the oil. I can only play straight up with it. My pap is: 5 1/4
The MB is 'almost' in a direct line with the thumb, might be an 1/8 to the right.

the shock and awe will be stronger than your Ravage no problem....all things being equal...
message KOTM...he'll help you out !

Is the breakpoint shape different? My Shock & Awe certainly gives me a hard snap. What kind of reaction can I expect from the Ravage? Skid snap or arc?

Not being nasty or anything, BUT you haven't been reading(& remembering) enough Morich and Track asymmetric core's property threads. The breakpoint's shape will be determined by the drilling, given constant release and oil pattern. Both balls are BASICALLY of the go-longish-and-break-hard variety, but that can change given the drilling. This is why having a driller who knows how to drill these balls properly is ESSENTIAL, not optional. They can be made to perform a huge variety of reactions. You must know what you want it to do and have someone drill it who knows how you bowl, what oil pattern you bowl on and how to drill these balls.

You're right charlest. I had read-up previous threads, I guess the info just didn't sink in. Big brain lapse!
I just didn't want to overlap my Shock & Awe with the Ravage. I am hoping that the Ravage will start a little sooner than my S&H (4 X 5 1/4) as I plan to drill the Ravage 3 3/8 X 6 drill.

One flare ring on a WoMB ?! something is wrong here.........strange!
anyhow.....message king of the mill......
JJ, why are you drilling the Ravage w/ 3 3/8 x 6 ? why don't you do something that you don't have ?
If you're getting a sharp break point off the S&A...why do it again w/ the Ravage ? There are other options.......make the Ravage work for your needs

Sort of agree with Jeffrevs here on jjweb's suggested Ravage drilling. That's going to be strong and long with a reduced backend (if that "6" figure refers to the MB distance to PAP, as it should). Not sure about your home oil pattern, but you should check with your driller or one of the good ones here, like King of the Mill and precision and bowldoc4u, to insure there's eno9ugh difference between these 2 ball's reactions.

My S&H is drilled 4 X 5 1/4 (MB) and I thought drilling the Ravage would be too similar and would overlap. I guess not. I just wanted the Ravage to start a little sooner than my S&H. I know the Ravage is strong and I want to keep it that way!
The house shot is 43', flood in the middle, drier from 12 to 1.
BTW, I did PM KOTM about my WMB. I haven't a clue about the WMB and it's flare problem.
