Curious about Morich
« on: September 07, 2007, 03:01:00 PM »
Was thinking of picking up a S&D to give this company a try. Have tried most of the others but not them. Noticed on the web site that the RG and Diff seem to be the same for 14,15, and 16lbs balls. Wanted to make sure this is correct. Also, does the famous hit of these balls occur at 14lbs verus 15 & 16. I know alot depends on style of bowling with regards to weight, but was just wondering. Have tried and had success with most manufactures, but how can I not try a ball called Seek & Destroy!

The rg thing I can't speak to but there stuff hits like none other you will not be disappointed as long as you use Seek and Destroy on enough oil I have two and pins jump out of the way before the ball gets to them

Thanks M
Thought there would be more answers, but realized that Morich probably does not have that big a following. If the Seek & Destroy is my ball, will try more Morich stuff!

If you are going to try more of Mo's balls, try the REVS. Great, hard hitting ball.

Some have adjusted the cover stock to get the reaction they want. Mine is OOB and I love it. Finish is another ball that you can look at.

Carry is generally just as good from 14# up to 16#.  It may be slightly different and the pocket may move around slightly as you go up or down in weight (lighter or higher hits may start to carry better or worse than before), but once you get used to where to put the ball, carry is fine.  Matching up the ball to the conditions is more important and being comfortable is more important.

Second that. I never saw much difference in move and hit between 14 lbs. and 15 lbs. - but the cores (esp. the Vanguard) is VERY strong, and its influence on ball reaction and performance is not to be underestimated. Therefore, make sure the coverstock matches the lane condition at hand, so that the great core can deliver. And make sure that your ball driller knows how to set up a strong MB ball to your game and needs, to exploit the ball's potential.
