solid levrg
« on: October 07, 2008, 05:03:35 AM »
I bought one in sept. 4 inch pin..under ring finger MB left of thumb hole. Wanted to use it on cheetah pattern but seemed like it was either too snappy or didn't finish. Only threw it down the lanes about 10 times. Last night on my THS, everyone was playing close to the same line so the shot burned up quick. I started with 205 w/ Levrg then 149 w/ Insane levrg. Normally I would switch to my scout or mojave. Decided to try the Solid. Every shot drilled the pocket. I slowed down a bit and moved in. The ball was amazing... finished w/ 298. Glad I found a niche for this ball. Any one else had interesting experiences with one of these??

I have one coming....drilling later this week.

From what I surmise from watching others roll this rock is that it's a good control ball.  Can be first out of bag "benchmark".  I'll report back after using.

Was n'Sane to over/under in the 2nd game?

comming in too hard too late....looked good but left splits and single pins. I am better at switching balls than adjusting speed and/or revs. I love the insane but it needs med oil.

well not the solid but I picked up a LevRg with a control layout on it.tried oob,too strong up front and no drive.tried 4000 A and was better on a med-heavy blend, shot 680.took it back down to 1000A and buffed it up with compound, same shot, very smooth reaction.shot 236-257 and then the outsides boke down and it was a hook monster, third shot 211 with a few splits.as for the movement on the lanes I think it's so so but the carry is incredible.
I wonder if I should try another LevRg with a different layout or would it be basically the same control ball?

I have a levRG and use it for fresh or heavier oil. It hits like a train.....as do all my Morich balls. Mine is 1000 grit abralon. When the lanes break down I go to the Insane....2000 with a light polish.
