Seek n Destroy Layout
« on: December 14, 2008, 07:51:56 AM »
Hey guys, I picked up a Seek n Destroy a little bit ago. I am looking to drill it up for heavier/sport patterns. Have you guys found this ball to work on heavier volumes of oil? The strongest ball I have is the XXcel which I dont like a lower grits. Just doesnt roll well so I keep it at upwards of 2000.

Myself? PAP is 4.75" right. 1/2" down. 300+rpm. 45 degrees axis rotation, at least when I'm playing deep. More around 30 degrees when playing straighter. And some axis tilt as well. I know MoRich is drilling sensitve but any drillings that work for you guys as mentioned above?

S&D is great for Heavier volumes of oil NOT THE FLOOD! but heavier volumes it is simply amazing. As far as a drill patterns for this I would go pin over Bridge and keep the MB in on your thumb or 70x2x30 dual angle layout or something similiar based on your PAP (ask your ball driller about the dual angle layouts they vary for everyones PAP), with the OOB finish the ball won't go down to far and it will still pick up in oil. I had one drilled like this and it made PBA Patterns Shark and Scorpion look like league patterns right from the get, go gave me a giant recovery zone down lane. Amazing ball an absolute killer, IMO one of the best Particle balls ever.

Another piece of advice is don't drill this one to roll early cause it is ALOT of ball and will roll out if drilled to be early, let this thing get down the lane before it hooks.

Hope that isn't to confusing

My driller hasn't done much Morich stuff so I'm not sure he would know about the dual angle. Possibly but we'll see when I go there. I was thinking of the Forward Roll drilling like the first response. Something that will give a strong midlane read and forward roll of the break.
