SHOCK AND AWE MINI REVIEW
« on: March 25, 2005, 02:38:14 AM »
I will try this for thte third time this morning, for some reason the post is not being put on the board.

Ball- Shock & Awe #15, 3" pin drilled 3-3/8 x 5-1/2 x 2, target weight hole 2-1/2" right of grip center, after drilling 1/2 oz finger weight, 1/2 oz side, and 1 oz top weight. Box finish.

Bowler- 15 mph ball speed, med to high rev rate, pap 5-3/8 x 3/8 up.

Standard house shot fresh 10-10 wall, 50 units on the 20 at 15 feet, 18 units on the 10's at 15 feet, 40 foot buff.

I was amazed with the S&A ease through the heads the transition to the dry, at 40 feet it makes a very angular move left and continues to rev right through the pin deck. Not really a skid/snap but very angular, predictable aggressive move left. Did not see any over under or violent moves. It reminds me of the TA, drilled similar but has more area to play with. Actually stood and threw the same line as I would with the TA, 34 to 12 to 8 at the break point.

1st game first 10, stone 9 and another 10 count - 289

2nd game first three began to loose carry, corners and back row pins, 5 X's and 5- 9 pin spares - 226

3rd game, made hand position change, front 4, stone 9& 8 pin spares, finished with 4 flush pocket X's - 257
First time out 772, got to be a winner.

Three clean games, awesome carry and pin action.
A terrific combo of Activator plus coverstock and Vanguard core, truly and benchmark ball. After last night it seems I'll have to demote the Ravage to the second team. Better get one while you can........

I'm sure I will, I sold three last night while bowling as a sub. After bowling I took it back to the pro shop to wipe off the finger prints, not mine the others inspectinfg the ball. LOL, As I said before a great combo of core and coverstock, seemed to have an unreal area to play with last night, Sunday afternoon I'll try it out on the ABC shot to see how it does on a real shot.
