Shock & Awe has landed!
« on: April 12, 2005, 02:48:24 AM »
Like a kid in a candy store!

kotm will be receiving this bad-boy today and setting her up to complement my WoMB......have her go a little longer and stronger...... 3 x 5mb w/ the pin up
over and to the right of my ring finger

Should be a great "first ball out" and/or to open the lane up......

again, because of my game,...looking at a hook-set drill, and not too crazy on the back (more forward than sideways) .....I'll report back once I pick it up !

Stay tuned.........I'll try to have kotm post pics of the drill w/ grease pencil marks, etc......

well.....I have it.....threw it last night for a game (all I had time for)....

3 x 5 x 2 (val) box condition..... no grips , thumb slug...small target hole inside pap .......

Throwing on a 38 ft amf synthetic broken down shot (kids leagues) ...

First....threw the WoMB to get a line on things so I can do a comparison...

WoMB:
Starting 27 w/ left foot....over 12-13 at the arrows , out to about 7-8 at the break......

S&A:
Staring 30 w/ left foot....over 15 at the arrows , out to about 5-6 at the break

Just what I wanted....a ball to complement the WoMB....I'd say it's just what I wanted,...longer/cleaner in the front, ...and stronger on the back than the WoMB however, still readable.  KOTM set this ball up to react off the dry in a more forward fashion than sideways (hook-set like set up) and that's exactly what I got....

A nice clean read thru the front with a readable but pronounced move off the dry with plenty of continuation....

I'd say it's about 2 feet longer and about 5 boards more overall (mostly in the back) than the WoMB.

I'll be able to use this ball on a variety of conditions, battle some carry down , and open up the lane a bit.  I see this handling some medium heavies, but mostly medium conditions, and especially when a little more entry angle is needed....

Yes...there is only one game in it...but it fits where I wanted,...and I really liked the look it gave me, it hit very well...and sounded more different than the WoMB sounds...like a hollow crunch if you will.....

When more games get logged and other conditions faced...I'll post more......
