Solid LevRg
« on: October 09, 2008, 10:24:54 PM »
Got a Solid LevRg drilled with a control drilling yesterday afternoon after work.  4000ab OOB with a pin under 65* x 4.5" x 65* X hole at P3....control layout.  http://www.morichbowling.com/CoreTech/DrillingSheets/BoxDrillingsSolidLevRG/BDSolidLevRG_Page_3.jpg

Drilled the X hole after rolling to get an idea how much the X hole would effect ball motion which it did.  Without X hole nice even motion after drilling a lil more snap but still not overly so.  In OOB, I think this ball will be a great “benchmark” piece.  Possibly might take it down to 2000ab to see the difference in length depending on what one calls medium.  Nice middle of the road ball in an arsenal.  I haven’t drilled a pin under ball in a long time with this much good length smooth but a good backend.  Most of my pin unders were smooth but not enough pop to get the 10 out.  I don’t think this will be a problem with this ball.  I do think you need an educated driller using Mo’s dual angle layouts to get what one needs to succeed.  This is my driller and he got a deTerminator this summer.  http://www.robbaileysproshop.com/  Spun mine up and timed it.   Checked the MB and it moved slightly to the left toward thumbhole after drilling about 3/8”.

I’ll try more MoRich stuff if this ball works out.

I dulled my solid with a gold scotch brite which is similar to a 2000 abralon pad. The cover changed made the ball a little stronger in the midlane but the backend is still a hard arc. My Solid is drilled 55 X 5 X 60 without a hole, check my profile for layout pic.
