For those throwing your Awesome Revs, what surface are you using?

Whatever OOB surface is. Anyone know exactly what OOB is? I only see Mo has it listed as compound.

Slop,

Mo told me in Mokena, IL that the compound is 360 Abralon and Brunswick's Rough Buff.

2000 Grit Abralon- As recommended from Mo

4x4.5x3.25up  No extra hole, but have the option to if I need to.

The 2000 grit helps it get down the lane good and the recovery is still pretty impressive despite the strength of the cover.

Mine is dull...I'm guessing box. It is drilled symmetrical flip with the pin above and a little to the right of the ring and the cg and mb swung way out to the right. With that drill the ball go very long with a nice consistent move to the pocket with great carry. I shot a 662 with it last night in league.

Makes sense. It is like other rough buff balls in that after some games, it has not shinned up or dulled down. I like that quality ALOT! Keeps the reaction consistant over time.

I hit one with 1000 abralon and then some rough buff and it appears to be pretty close to OOB.  I'd be surprised if it was 360 then rough buff, but if it came from Mo himself--then that about sums it up.

It came from Mo himself, as I asked him if it was like other Brunswick's Rough Buff with 220 then Rough Buff and he said, "I would say more like 360 Abralon and then Rough Buff."

I liked it OOB.  For heavy oil I took it to 500 Abralon and had to put it away after a game.  I also tried it at 2000 Abralon and it was very similar to box and it handled carrydown beautifully.  I even shot 299 bowling second shift following ladies all throwing plastic!

Thank you to everyone who replied.

I have my Revs drilled with the Asymmetrical Flip drilling for most continuation.  I threw it a couple shots last Wednesday and it seemed to not want to finish.  As the night wore on, the pattern was toast so I determined the first couple shots were not good indicators.

I threw it again Saturday.  My Saturday league I keep my hand straight up the back, just something I have gotten away from and decided to work on this year in this particular league.  Again, the Revs was not finishing.  My Shock & Awe drilled with the Standard Asymmetrical drilling for control was out hooking the Revs by 8 boards.

So, I am thinking my Revs is just too strong and was looking to see others experiences with the cover.

Now I just have to decide if to hit with high Abralon like 2000 or 4000 or hit it with 500 or 1000 and re-Rough Buff it.

Thanks again,
Jeff

Does it have a weight hole?  I used the same drilling and it went way too long until I added a hole.  I shot 290 with it that night.  I have found the more I try to rev it, the worse reaction I get.  Staying up the back makes this ball revs like crazy on the backs.

Well I opted for 4000 Abralon.  I finally got the reaction I was expecting.  Problem though, I could only throw it one game.  I should have only thrown it 8 frames, but, I am stubborn and thought I could just keep moving left.

It is just too strong.  I do not know what to do with it.  I have a Lane #1 Super Carbide Bomb that I only get to use a couple times a year.  I certainly do not need another ball in that category.

kmanestor22
Yes, I used the Target weighting system for my weight hole.

What kind of lanes to you bowl on? The Revs was too early for me on wood but, it is money on synthetic lanes with some good head oil.
