Update on Shock & Awe and WOMB
« on: March 30, 2005, 03:19:23 PM »
The Shock & Awe is absolutely freakin' amazing! It just keeps getting better and better.

I finally added a weighthole to my WOMB to fix the tracking over the thumb, so far so good.

I'm editing some video I took of my Shock & Awe; will post a link as soon as I'm done. I'll also take some video of my WOMB, too.

Any questions about either ball, just ask!

The WOMB will certainly handle a heavier shot. I've been bowling on a 'heavier' house shot, and have had no problems with it. I seem to be the only person able to play inside of the oil and still get it to move and hit. Do not try and swing it! The WOMB is not swing friendly.

I'm convinced you could sand down the Shock & Awe and use it on a heavier shot too, it's that aggressive.

The S&A having the Activator+ pearl coverstock can be sanded to 600, 800 or 1000 grit easily and handle surprising amounts of oil. This core being stronger than the Intense Inferno's core should allow the S, if sanded to 600 or 800 and if drilled for a strong-ish reaction to handle TRUE medium-heavy oil at a minimum, for someone with decent (not cranker, but tweener) revs.
