Black Widow is dead
« on: January 19, 2007, 02:30:02 AM »
My Black Widow and everyone else that I that bought is starting die. They seem to stop hooking after about 40-50 games. I clean it every time with the cleaner that Ebonite recommends but it's lost about 8-10 boards of hook...what do I do?

Cleaning a Black Widow will not completely maintain it's reaction.  A BW is 4000 abralon OOB and as they "track" up they will roll earlier and earlier which would reduce it's backend.

This is something I am also hearing alot about.  Our local pro shop guys are in heaven...40 to 50 games then into the rejuvenator for the ball...easy money...

I've found that the BW coverstock, especially at 4000 grit, is very condusive to tracking.  Very high maintenance ball.

ANYTHING with a Ebonite cover that is not polished is a high Maintence ball. Even some that are polished (The One) are still high maintence. Wait a minute, lets not kid ourselves, they are not high maintence, they just flat out die after a bit.

My Black Widow was dead after a few weeks, and I work
in a pro shop, have access to all abaralon grits, and
cleaners, but it seemed to lose its effectivness after
a few weeks. Thats when I plugged and sold it. Now,
my Pain is still doing well after 10 weeks, just dont
get it !
