Mo cores are very strong, for me at least. And the way you have this ball set up, it would be a very strong, earlier flaring drilling, again for me.
And, from the way you describe it ( being O.K. on a carried down second shift shot but rolling off on a fresh shot ) it sounds like it may be strong enough to need a longer oil pattern to keep it from burning up, even though it is a pearl and has a higher pin position. Remember, it has been said that coverstock is up to 70% of a balls reaction. and even though it is pearl, it can be very strong and very "reactive" to dry areas and the more friction you have, the faster you bleed off the energy.
The pearl cover will tend to promote length, but as you said, you have been having to find friction ( dry ) to read the lane because it just skates in oil, and it seems to "over read" the drier boards and may be buning up ( using all its energy prior to the backend ).
It may be that, between the drilling, cover stregth, core strength, and your release, you have an earlier flaring ball that will need a longer ( not necessarily heavier ) pattern to help it conserve energy long enough.
Good luck. That's a great looking piece. Hope you get the bugs worked out.
