which morich to purchase
« on: April 25, 2007, 05:04:18 AM »
I am wanting to purchase a morich ball but not really sure which one to buy. i am a left handed bowler who stands on the middle dot and throws out to 7 or 8 board. I need a ball that will hook on heavy oil. also what size pin should i get on the ball and should it be in or out? also what type of layout should i get when drilling? Thanks for the help.

How heavy is the oil you want the ball for? What are you using right now on those conditions?

Hey G-,

In addition to what Carl said, do you know your axis coordinates (PAP), or your tilt as well as ball speed?  If you do, great, if not, we can get you close.  Pin to cg length doesn't matter much on MoRich balls due to the asymmetrical cores.  What can matter for CG's if they are in line with the Pin and MB(mass bias, which is marked).  If they're off, once again it's not a big deal, but an offset right cg can actually work to your advantage, being a lefty.  As for layouts/balls once we get this info, we can get you headed in the right direction.

i currently use a ultimate inferno which does good on med. oil. i also use lane 1 super carbide bomb which does hook but leaves alot of single pins. i want a ball for a long heavy oil pattern. my ball speed is probably about 20 mph. on my inferno the dot is on the left right above the finger holes. on my lane 1 the dot is in between my finger holes and thumb hole. i hope this helps.
