The ball is drilled for a customer of ours that loves morich equipment and he came in and asked me to clean up his WOMB, ball has about 40 games on it maybe less, mostly on heavy house shots, or long heavy sport conditions.

It was funny to see, that the ball had a dark ring around the ball where his first flare ring would be. The ball absorbs so much oil and dirt.

I don't know if anyone has gone past the 150 game mark with the ball yet, but anyone have durability problems with the cover yet at all?

Presently the box finish for the ball has been maintained at 1000 wet sand.

wear issues ?? NO.....he's got numerous customers w/ 'pushing 100 games easily' and there have been no issues at this point......

the WoMB 'is' a very sensitive cover that can be easily modified, its' more porous and can be easily tuned, so yes, a higher level of maintenance is needed but worth the work.

durability wise though...no issues......

I just keep the cleaner handy, and don't be afraid to hit it with a scotch-brite to keep the desired grit fresh.

I know I do....and it is worth it .....

That's odd since Mo switched to Brunswick covers.  I've never heard of performance issues with their coverstocks.  I don't have many games on mine yet, but I'll keep an eye on things.  I haven't even cleaned it yet.  Usually sanded balls (ALL manufacturers) pick up all kinds of dirt/oil/scum.  I'll give it a quick cleaning when I get home (4/1?) and see how dirty the cloth looks.  Mine is at 800 grit smooth with Doc's Elixir, so I'm not too worried.

On a side note, the cover appears to be very soft.  The first proshop spilled some plug on the cover.  My normal proshop scraped it off before resurfacing it and commented on how soft the cover was.
