Lev RG re juggernaut review
« on: March 28, 2009, 12:35:38 AM »
RE this ball....

I have never had a MORICH ball....not hook....EXCEPT one I redrilled 3 times and hit the mass bias hard.

All balls of this series and beyond.....MOVE and move strong.

I have seen this ball in many hands hook out of the house!  USually too much.
Juggs...I think it is the redrills and maybe the pin was up to much in original setting for your pattern and new more spinner PAP.

REgards,

No LL, that's not it.  Like I said in the review, my driller threw it and it hooked plenty for him. We were/are both confounded by the fact that the ball does not perform in my hands at all.

He has now double checked all my stats and the drilling. We still are confused by the fact that, honestly, I really do get a better read and stronger reaction out of my Hammer RAZYR at 500 abralon.

Not bashing the Lev-RG at all, just giving my review of what it did for me in my attempts to throw it. I've seen others just mangle things with one, that's part of why I've wanted one for a while. I'm just glad I didn't spend $200 on it, but I still have $135 dollars in it and it is on it's third drill.

my lev rg was a fickle beast! on the right condition it was a beast and with less oil up front and a little carry down it was a lame duck.I loved it when it worked but sold it due to being so temperamental for me. BTW I tried many cover adjustments on it and it seemed to work best for me @ 4000 abralon.

The same thing happened to me and my Awesome Hook. I got a little wrinkle dull, figured it was burning up, polished it, and hockey puck city. I got an Awesome Revs and drilled it the EXACT SAME WAY, and it's a BEAST...especially now that I have it at 500 abralon. I've never had a ball that rolls that heavy and yet still has some backend on it...my old favorite the Slate Blue Quantum was close but this ball outclasses it by far, I feel like I'm throwing 15# rolling pin down the lane!

I have never had a MoRich ball not hook for me. I don't understand it when people tell me they don't hook

It's all about the marriage of:

BOWLER
BOWLERS GAME
KNOWLEDGE OF THE DRILLER ABOUT STRONG ASYMM STUFF
KNOWLEDGE OF YOUR GAME BY THAT DRILLER

If these things are not known...you CAN/COULD (not likely) but could get a turd
