Rev Rate:420
Axis Tilt:20
Axis Rotation: 45
Ball Speed:17
PAP Measurements: 4 1/8

Description:  The Revolt Havoc is Motiv’s newest  weapon for medium-heavy oil conditions, the Havoc will read the pattern early and also provide reliable continuation. The Revolt Havoc is incredibly strong, incredibly controllable, and has the unique ability to provide remarkable continuation through the pins. The Havoc features the Vanquish core that was featured in the Covert and Vengeance, however the coverstock in the new Helix HFS Reactive. It’s also purple which I happen to like because Donatello is my favorite ninja turtle.

Out of box surface: 3000 Grit LSS
Layout: 60 X 4 ¼ X 60

Ball Reaction: "To mimic or re-create the Covert Revolt would have been an insult to our customers and boring for us." The Brett Spangler.

Motiv did not take the Covert Revolt and dye it purple; this is a totally different ball with a reaction to match. The Havoc is earlier than both the Covert and Vengeance and provides you with more overall hook. The most impressive aspect of the ball for me is its ability to continuously roll through the pin deck from various angles, from far right to far left the Havoc has not left me for wanting more continuation. The reaction it provides is perfect for blending out those snappy or over/under conditions you may encounter; this ball plays to my strength of playing deep inside and I take full advantage of the continuation it gives me.

Comparisons
Primal Rage Remix: The havoc is much earlier and stronger than the Remix up front, although Remix provides muscle in the midlane it’s not as much as the Havoc because it is earlier. The Remix provides a quicker response when it encounters friction and is cleaner than the Havoc; in terms of playing in the oil for me it’s a matter of what shape I want. Both can handle the oil the difference lies in the shape they both provider in the oil.

Jackal: Overall the Jackal is the bigger ball between the two in terms of hook, and it is cleaner than the Havoc in my opinion. I have used both on medium to heavy patterns and I find the Havoc to be more versatile, the midlane grab is not as strong in the Havoc as it is the Jackal.

Covert Revolt: The Havoc is earlier and stronger than the Covert, and that is absolute. The ball motion I get out of the Havoc at box finish I did not get from the Covert at 800, the Havoc is just that early and strong. What makes the Havoc different from other early rolling weaponry is that it's able to maintain continuation; the Havoc doesn’t slack off through the pin deck it keeps going. I’ve had a hard time putting this ball down.

Revolt Vengeance: The Vengeance is a lot cleaner than the Havoc and provides a bigger shape down lane than the Havoc. I enjoyed using the Vengeance on the fresh as it gave me reasonable length with an angular ball motion down lane, one of my favorite ball motions.  While the Vengeance responds to friction much quicker than the Havoc, it has a less overall hook potential.

Summary: There is nothing more special than a bowling ball that does as marketed and time after time Motiv has done that, you know exactly what you’re getting out of the Havoc. The early ball motion and continuation will give you more than what you’ve bargained for; I myself have been having a hard time putting this ball down on various conditions minus the burn.

Flat patterns, flooded patterns, over under, the Havoc has proved its worth in my bag time and time again. As I stated before I have gotten a bigger reaction out of the Havoc at box finish than I have out of the Covert at 800, that’s the type of strength you’re working with when you pick up the Havoc.

The continuation I have experienced with the Havoc is a characteristic trait I marveled at the most, more than its controllability. Once the Havoc starts rolling it doesn’t stop it keeps going, I haven’t thrown a lot of pins around the deck but I’ve buried a lot of them in the pit. I say all that to say that  #continuation isn’t just some marketing ploy.
It’s the truth.

Go forth and wreak havoc.
Your game will thank you for it.

This ball is the newest introduction into the Revolt line of bowling balls. The MOTIV Revolt Havoc features the Helix HFS Reactive coverstock combined with the Vanquish core. It's reads the front of the lane, makes a strong move in the mid-lane that creates an arching motion, yet stores more than enough energy to be the most continuous early rolling ball that I have every thrown. This is a ball motion that seemed impossible, until now!!

It will be a great fit in your bag on medium to heavy oil. The roll and continuation you’ve been looking for.

My Havoc is laid out with the pin above the fingers, just to the right of center, the cg slightly kicked right and has extra hole below my axis. Plain and simple this ball rolls through the oil, without hydroplaning. It gives me an arching and continuous shape that I’ve never seen before. I can see this ball as being the first out of my bag on any long oil pattern and having enough recovery to allow me to move left and open the lane on medium oil. This ball is going to get A LOT of play for me on medium to heavy oil, on a variety of different shape patterns.

The Revoltâ„¢ Havoc is a devastating weapon for medium-heavy oil with the unique ability to read the lane early, yet provide unbelievable continuation.  It’s a ball motion that seemed impossible…until now.  The Revolt Havoc is incredibly strong, but has the unique ability to provide tremendous continuation through the pins.

Because the Revoltâ„¢ Havoc is incredibly strong, it is an obvious fit for speed dominant and low rev players. And because it has the unique ability to still provide tremendous continuation, the ball is also a versatile weapon for competitive bowlers that have higher rev rates.  While these players typically experience a weak finish from strong equipment, they will experience outstanding continuation from the Revoltâ„¢ Havoc on higher volume patterns.

As I get started I want to say WOW, this ball provdies a shape I have never seen before. I drilled my new REVOLT HAVOC with a layout of 50 X 4 1/4 X 80 which puts the pin down below my fingers right below the bridge. This layout usually gives me a controlled continuous look. The ball is already made to that so why not compliment what the ball does with this drill. I will probably end up putting my favorite layout as well on it but I don't see myself needing this ball to much on a Typical House Shot (THS). However, I feel like someone who is very speed dominant over revs would love this ball on a THS. My main focus for this ball is to play on medium to heavy sport compliant patterns. This ball is amazing on oil, it reads super early but it never stops coming on the back part of the lane. The continuous motion I get from a ball that reads so early is remarkable. Most times I drill Heavy oil bowling balls, I always get forced way left because of the amount of hook in the front, and typically the balls don't have enough to get back and carry consistently.  When I threw this ball on the Badger oil pattern, I was VERY impressed with amount of shape I was actually able to create. Don'y get me wrong, I LOVED my original Covert Revolt and is still in my bag to this day but the Revolt Havoc gave me a look on longer oil better than I have ever had before. I am very excited that Motiv keeps filling any gaps in our product line with great performing pieces. The Revolt Havoc does exactly what it is advertised to, strong heavy read in the front part with an amazing continuation. Definitely excited to play on more longer heavy volume patterns. I have been very impressed with the new Motiv line and it puts a shame to all of our older stuff. Motiv is making amazing progress in the bowling industry and is here to stay! It's time to Get MOTIVated!!!!!

I did a something a little different with my revolt havoc.  Compared to my original revolt which is pin above the bridge, my havoc is a little bit further away and is over my middle finger which is about 5 inches from my pap.  Comparing the two balls together, the havoc is about 2-1 stronger, but the motion is a bit different.  The havoc reads the friction quicker but is noticeably smoother at the end of the pattern, where as the original revolt looks to be more angular.  I took the cover down a little bit on my havoc to try and smoothen out how quick the ball reacts to friction and it works a lot better.  This ball will be good when you need something to help blend the pattern out because it wont jerk off the end of the pattern.

Ball Specs and Layout:
Vanquish Core
3000 Grit LSS
55x4x50

Bowler Stats:
Rev Rate – 425
Ball Speed – 17 mph (down-lane)
PAP – 3 ½ over, ¾ up
Right-handed

Test Environment:
42’ THS

Review:
I compared this to the original Revolt which has a fairly similar layout. I quickly found this to be much sooner than the original because of the stronger coverstock. For my type of roll, which is more up-the-back with tilt, I found the Havoc to be better on the fresh because it helps me read the pattern a lot faster, and to see where and how the lanes are transitioning.

Likes:
Smooth
Great for heavy oiled fronts

Dislikes:
None

Summary:
For a ball that rolls this early, it does not lose any hitting power when it gets to the pins. Being aggressive with the Revolt Havoc is something you do not want to shy away from. The Havoc makes any heavy oiled shot look easy. The Havoc completes an arsenal for one that wants to build one with all of the Revolts.
