PICTURES AND/OR VIDEOSHello guys, this time I had the opportunity to try the new Motiv release, the Chronic Paranoia.
When I'm looking for a benchmark ball, I'm looking for a ball that will help you read the lanes. Well, the Chronic Paranoia is the right ball for the job.
The Chronic Paranoia is not earlier and is not angular either. It provides a great balance of a strong, but controllable backend motion. It is the ball that will tell you whether you need more shape down the lane or if you need a smoother reaction.
For me, this is a versatile piece that it can easily be used as the first ball out of the bag, while it also is a great complement to other balls because this ball works well from different angles.
I used the ball last week in two leagues in two different centers. The first day I shot a 711 and I was able to use it for the whole night. That center has wood lanes and it is a low scoring house.
The second day I started with it again, but I needed a little more shape down the lane, so I switched to the Primal Fear... By the middle of the second game I went back to the Chronic Paranoia and finished with a 221 and a 246. In this center you usually want stronger balls because the backends are dirty and you don't see a lot of shape until the lanes open up.
I definitely see this ball as a must in my bag, since I love having a ball that can tell me what to do. This ball is so easy to read and is a great complement to stronger and weaker balls. For me, is a great benchmark ball.
This ball will be released on December 12th. If you are looking for a medium oil ball or a benchmark ball, I think you'll be pleased with this ball.
Please let me know what you think! Still learning and I have a long way to go, but I hope you enjoyed this video!
