Sigma Inner Core
The science behind the SX1''''s vicious attack on the pins is the Sigmaâ„¢ inner core. It has been precisely engineered to deliver an RG of 2.47 with a differential of .047 (15# ball).
MOTIVator-X Reactive Coverstock
The SX1 bowling ball is cloaked with a Jet Black MOTIVator-X reactive urethane cover. It is finished at the factory for medium oil with 2000 Abralon pads and brought to a luster with our Power Gel® Polish. For heavier oil, a 1000 Abralon unpolished finish is recommended.
NeoMark Urethane Graphics
The SX1 certainly demands attention with 2-color NeoMarkâ„¢ urethane graphics. Monster Green and Vintage White logos really stand out against the Jet Black coverstock.
Reverb Outer Core
The Reverb outer core of the SX1 is a low-density polyester resin with pin piercing hardness and strength. Rather than absorb impact energy, this outer core reverberates energy as it explodes through the pins.

The SX1 is the stronger core of the two new balls from the Motiv brand, although it's overall hook is slightly less that its counterpart the TX1.  My SX1 is drilled stacked with a 4" Pin to PAP layout.  I get about 5" of flare with the SX1 which is still in its box condition at 2000 Abralon with the company's factory Power Gel polish.

The reaction is a very controlled, smooth but strong arc into the pocket.  The ball is very easy to read and could easily be anyone's benchmark ball.  The carry with the SX1 is outstanding.  The Reverb outer core along with the MOTIVator-X coverstock give the Motiv balls a different sound when they hit the pocket.  A much louder "crack" than other high end balls on the market.

The NeoMark Urethane Graphics on the ball are the first of their kind in the marketplace and are very cool....really make the balls stand out.  No more engraving the name and logos on the ball which I think is much better!

The only issue some may have with the 2 new offerings from Motiv is the coverstock, which doesn't appear to absorb any oil in comparison to the "soakers" that most manufacturers are bring out!  In between shots, you'll see plenty of oil rings on the ball that will need to be wiped off after every shot.  HOWEVER....the good part about the coverstock absorbing less oil is that it should be more durable and last a lot longer than others on the market.  The controlled reaction of the SX1 will make it better for the tweener or cranker as they will get more use out of the ball than the stroker on a variety of lane conditions.

Not only will the SX1 excel on a THS, it should do very well on Sport or PBA Experience patterns because it is so easy to control!  If you're looking for a reaction that you'll get from NO other manufacturer, look no further than Motiv.
You won't be disappointed!

I will report back on coverstock longevity and overall ball durability as time goes by.

my first sx1 is drilled with a stronger layout than my first tx1.  This ball is my answer to the league shot where I work.  It allows me to play the lanes around the track area where my other stuff wants to hook too early.  This ball gets through the heads very nice and reads the mids extremely well, and gives me a nice predictable reaction off the dry boards.  
Other than a league shot I've only thrown these balls on the chameleon.  The Sx1 and Tx1 that I have drilled so far are a little too weak to get a decent look on this pattern when it's fresh.  The Tr2 or Gt1 are better options for this pattern.  
I do have more to drill up so we'll use different layouts and different surfaces and that should help cover all the bases better.  But the reactions are very predictable and the continuation through the pins is phenominal.

Drilled my second Sx1 with a 5 1/2 pin to pap which puts it about 1 1/2 above my middle finger.  
Left this one with box surface and took the other one with the shorter pin down to 1000.  
The new one has much better finish and a sharper move off the dry than the other one which has a smoother reaction.  These two fit above my Tx1, and under my Gt1 and Tr2's.

Review:  too much green and white.
Condition specific, unfortunately the condition was being drunk, not giving a crap and  complacent when I received a 1" gash right between the eyes (logo)
