Strengths
Purple Tank uses its energy early and provides a smoother back end read to that of Blitz, Desert, and Covert.
Purple Solid Urethane is predictable at the breakpoint, and will provide you with a smoother ball motion downlane when compared to Frixion+ Microcell Polymer.
If you are needing a smoother option outside of Microcell Polymer Pearl I encourage you to look at Purple Solid Urethane, it will afford you with excellent control at the breakpoint.
Weaknesses
I’ve had minimal success using Purple Tank on heavier patterns, Purple Solid Urethane Coverstock doesn’t carve a lane as Mircocell Polymer Frixtion or MXC Coercion would which makes persfect sense as it isn’t supposed to.
Overall Summary
The weapon of mass destruction known as Purple Tank comes at a surface of 1000 sanded finish, at its core is the Flux core that was also used in Desert Tank and Thrill. As early as Purple Tank starts its ball motion the Flux core makes it rather useful to a variety of styles, the smooth motion it provides downlane will blend out the breakpoint should the breakpoint become difficult for you to control.
Typically urethane is a weapon that I don’t use unless an opportunity presents itself, and that opportunity is rare. Save for heavier patterns I didn’t expect this type of versatility out of Purple Tank or how muscular its ball motion was, Purple Solid Urethane gave me no problems reading upfront and eliminated breakpoint volatility. Although Purple Tank did corner for me I was very comfortable playing right for the majority of the night, even when I used it in later blocks of tournaments my foot wasn’t in the gutter. In the event Microcell Polymer Pearl became too much Purple Solid Urethane would get me home, out of all the urethane weapons Motiv has created Purple Tank is the best one thus far in my hands.
If you have Desert Tank in your bag and feel you need a smaller option, if you need to control breakpoint volatility, if you are skeptical about urethane weaponry and you’re open to trying it for yourself then I encourage you to Tank a look at Purple Tank.
Your game will thank you for it
