When I got my hands on this ball I wasn't that familiar with it...and had wanted to try a Motiv piece. I looked at the specs and saw RG of 2.46 and Diff of .032 and thought that I hadn't seen something like that in a while. Ball companies usually shy away from balls that "don't hook", as they can be hard to move. Even the weaker stuff is strong now using older covers.
So I got a little excited thinking that maybe I had the ball to replace the Tour Powers I used to have. Drilled it with a pretty generic 4.5" 45* layout (on symmetricals I use standard degree layout), pin 1.5" above midline, and a 1" hole inside of my VAL below my midline.
I went to the lanes and threw it a few times...it looked PHENOMENAL the first few shots...but I thought there was no way this ball was that heavy on the backend of the lane...and that there had to be a little carrydown. I went and got my Gamebreaker and was SHOCKED at how much harder off the spot it was than the GT1.
I haven't been this excited about a ball in many years....it reads the lane like nothing else. It's predictable, smooth, and continuous. I played with some different hand positions and felt like I could move as far as I wanted left and get it to continue.
I'm really excited to try another Motiv piece now...maybe a stronger piece like the Cruel. I live in Atlanta and Motiv has very little presence, so I look forward to introducing everyone to this monster.
