Hydra is the replacement for the Tag Cannon (mine cracked too).  Tank Blitz is more ball than the Venom Shock with a much different shape (super early and continuous).  Probably closest to Shock is the Recoil (which I do love).  Probably just get another Shock to be honest (but Blitz worth having in bag too imo).  Don't know much about Motiv's high end so let someone else speak to that but looks like Abyss is still available.

The Alpha Jackal is the replacement for the Abyss, if you don't want another Abyss. The Alpha will be a bit more shape down lane, but overall close due to the same cover.

Replace the Shock with a new one, I like the Recoil, it's good, but the Shock was and still is special.

There isn't a replacement for the Venom Shock currently...except an new Venom Shock.

I would love to see Motiv put a strong solid cover on the Venom Shock/Cobra core though. That might even be an "improved" Venom Shock.

Tank Blitz may be the closest to this that we see.

I am hoping that the Ripcord Flight is a juicer version of the Shock. Hopefully we find out in a few short weeks.

Don't try to replace the Venom Shock with a better Venom Shock, you're just going to get something different... but of course if you want one aspect of the hook phase to be different by all means. I would honestly try a stronger/weaker pin on a new shock first.

I have a Recoil and a VSP... The Recoil can give you some unique shapes with the asymmetry but the nature of the cover is still a little delayed compared to the Shock. I have one Recoil 60x5x40 and another 35x4x70, they roll completely different.

Unfortunately I have no input on the Trident. This big of a ball do you need that much core & cover? With any hand or matched game the Forge or lesser Jackal may shape better.

The Blitz is one of the smoothest pieces Motiv has ever created... next closest thing may be the OG Forza or Venom Strike but the Blitz is overall earlier and more continuous with more overall hook.

The new Rip Cord Flight uses a modified version of the Venom Shock cover with the Oblivion core.  So that may be a replacement to the Venom Shock, although it is being labeled as a benchmark that angles more down lane than the Shock.

Jackal Ghost is by far my favorite upper line ball while the Alpha Jackal compliments that Ghost really well.  For me with similar layouts the Alpha is about 3-4 feet longer and a bit sharper down lane.

Don't sleep on the Supra either, that ball is really really good.  The Red Tank is also really good.   Pretty early out of the box, but the shape it creates belongs in your bag for sure.

I've been very impressed with the shapes I see with Motiv since switching to them last month.

What are you looking to accomplish with replacing the Trident Abyss? Going from that to the Golden Jackal is a pretty big difference.

I would replace the Tridnt Abyss with the Alpha Jackal and Venom Shock with another Venom Shock (assuming you're referring to the solid).
