After my Dr forced me to drop to 12# balls because of back problems, I chose MOTIV for the first time and selected the 12# Primal Scream. I have had such surprisingly good success with it, that as a second 12# ball, I chose MOTIV balls again. I had my pro shop order a 12# Thrash Frenzy Saturday. Anxious to get it in, drilled, and try it. Am thinking about putting the exact same layout on it as my Primal Scream which is 50* x 3 3/8 x 65* with a P3 hole and Pin under RF.

Most of these 12 pound balls are really the coverstock over a much lower horsepower core. (higher rg and less rg).
Often if you still have some speed the drillings should be stronger than what you would put on the full horsepower core in the 14 to 16 pound range.
If you have lost a lot of speed then yes a weak drilling is in order.

Finally got to throw my Thrash Frenzy for the first time after getting it drilled a week before Christmas. This ball is definitely a winner hands down in my book and will be the perfect ball to accompany my recently purchased Primal Scream when the Scream is too much for the lane conditions.
When talking about hook, this ball hooks, believe me. It gets thru the heads exxtremely well and once it sniffs dry, this ball moves and moves strong with great contunuation thru the pin deck with great hit and pin mix for a 12# ball. It could very well become the first ball out of my bag.
