Anyone Received Their Jackal LE Yet?
« on: September 09, 2016, 01:32:05 PM »
So we can keep track of deliveries, I thought I would throw this out there as a way to track when the Jackal LE's start getting delivered to us consumers. I'm waiting on one for me and my son. Some PBA/PWBA staffers have theirs and used them in the past week at tournaments.

So, post away when you get yours or you get notified to go to your pro-shop and pick it up.
Balls: Motiv Forza GT, Motiv Primal Rage Remix, Motiv Ascent Pearl and Motiv (On The Ball) spare ball.. All made in the USA.

As I posted on the Motiv site, if Motiv is going to send the LE to their staffers before their paying customers are taken care of, I will have to reconsider which company I purchase my equipment from.

I have received an email about the USBC rejection of the appeal, but nothing about shipment of the replacement balls as yet.

I would tend to agree!

Motiv staffers using the Jackal LE for a PBA event, even just for qualifying, makes me think they will open it up for regular sale at some point. The company isn't going to want them throwing and advertising equipment that people can't buy.

I don't have an issue with the LE being sold to the general public, but the first ones should go to the paying customers who purchased the original Jackal and Jackal Carnage. Then by all means, sell the LE and let the staffers throw them.

In theory I agree milo, but some levels of staffers for Motiv pay for their equipment.  It may be at a reduced rate, but they still pay for them.

Fair enough, but here is the real question the Motiv brain-trust should ask themselves; do they value their staffers more or their customers who pay full retail? Do they have enough reduced rate staffers to pay their bills without those lowly non-staffer customers?

Oh I don't disagree with that, was just a thought that popped into my head after reading the first post/seeing the E.J. Tackett post on Facebook.

Maybe I am the odd one on here, but I feel like it isn't so wrong for the staffers to get the equipment first.
1. In a sense, they are employees of Motiv. I feel like a company should take care of its employees first.
2. It is their job to represent, inform, and ultimately increase sales for Motiv. If being in the first (smaller of the two) group gives Tacket the ball used for the win in time for a tournament, it gives Motiv a bit more publicity and recognition from a win. If he didn't have that ball, he may not have placed.
3. Like I said, the staffers are a smaller group than the general public. How much longer will take everyone else to receive their replacement balls if the staffers get it first? A week? Maybe two tops. Big whoop. How many league sessions have you all bowled without a jackal? It isn't going to kill you to wait just a little longer.

I would find it hard to believe that Tackett is getting his equipment at reduced price.

It's not going to kill me to buy my equipment from a different company either.

I also have considered and started buying other brands. Until I get a replacement why should I buy motiv, especially seeing that staff members have them. Would be better to give paying customers what they paid for first.
