After reading and re-reading Gizmo's post on the Covert I decided to give Motiv a try and drilled up a Covert Revolt. I've had it a couple of weeks now and I'm really happy with the shape and carry this ball gives me. What ball in Motiv's line up would give me the same look just being able to be used when the heads start to dry up. I like that smooth, archy shape not skid/snap. Thanks.

Of the current balls, the closest I think of is the Venom Toxin. It has a hybrid cover but is more even rolling than the Venom Shock.
If you have accessibility to some older offerings, you have the Sigma Hybrid, Thrash and Venom Strike in order of strength. Each of these offer the even roll you are looking for.

I'd agree about the Toxin. Its shape is very similar to the Revolt and would be a step or two down depending on surface prep.

Definitely the Venom Shock (pin down). It's the perfect compliment to the Covert Revolt.
Has a very similar ball motion.

I wanted to thank those that shared their comments. It's appreciated.
I decided to go with the Venom Shock based on the coverstock being a milder version of what was on the Revolt (HFS vs. MFS). I was only able to use it once so far and based on that outing it appears to fit below the Revolt very nicely. Gave me more push thru the heads and the same smooth motion on the back.

I just ordered a Covert Revolt and a Sigma Sting and am looking forward to throwing both. Let me know how the Shock works out as I'm potentially interested in adding that for my lower end.

For me, the Shock is an excellent step down from the Covert Revolt.

Don't over look the Tribal. It's a very nice medium to medium-dry ball that can be used to open up the lanes once they begin to break down some.
