Motive 'Tank'
« on: January 31, 2015, 03:50:16 PM »
Greetings From So. Cal,

I got my first Motive ball, (Motiv Revolt Vengeance) last Wednesday and all I can say is WOW! it has to be one of the best balls I have ever had and the carry is unbelievable too.

I plan on converting to Motive over the next few months but as of now I will have to take the rebuild slowly (I'm a retired old dude :) ) I have a question for dryer lanes, I have a fairly new DV8 Misfit which rolls very consistently but I am wanting to try Motives urethane ball the 'Tank'.

for those of you who have already thrown both balls are you glad that you ended up getting the 'Tank'? I love throwing urethane and the 'Tank' looks like a really good lite-oil ball.

I'm also wanting to get the 'Motiv Tribal' or the 'Motiv Venom Shock' to use after I have to put away Motiv Revolt Vengeance...thanks for reading, Jake

Venom shock is a ball everyone should have and the new venom panic looks like a great vengeance step down. I have vengeance and agree its a phenomenal ball

Big Jake,

Do yourself a favor for your body. Get a Tank while you still can. The ball has been discontinued as of recently. I have one and it is great. My father has one and he is in his late sixties. When he's having issues with the lanes with his Quad Fire he still thinks he can keep moving left to the gutter and just swing it out harder. Needless to say he complains that his back hurts, legs hurt. When he does change to the Tank he gets back to where the ball just crushes the pins with a lot less effort and he feels better for it.
I love throwing Motiv Stuff. I was one of the first on Cali coast to get my hands on there first release.
When the Tank came out it was the second urethane to come out of the bag behind my big "C" Stingray. Shot a few 300s and a ton of 770 + with both. You will be surprised with how little effort you need to handle the Tank. Especially when the big handers are burning up the lanes before the 6th frame and there toast. This is when the ball will shine in your eyes and make your opponents cry with envy when you clean up the pots.
The last scratch league I bowled. Just used a plastic ball, rubber ball and Tank. Finnished with 220 Avg. Top 5 in league Avg.

Woot, Woot! I just ordered a 15lb Tank to go with my Revolt Vengeance and a friend is giving me his 15lb (silver) Tribal.

More good news, my friend who is giving me his (silver) Tribal also gave me a Sigma Tour.

So my new arsenal will be: Revolt Vengeance, Sigma Tour, Tribal, and the Tank, although it will be about a week until all of the plug n drilling will be done but I am very excited about my Motive gear!

I dont hear or see a ton on the tank, but I also grabbed one while I still could (bowlersdeals last one actually) I'm truly excited about drilling this up.

I'm a low tilt high rev lefty that as of late around my parts, has seen WAYYYY too much friction. . . heck I was lofting the gutter last night.  I truly look forward to getting back in my comfort zone of a line.  I have high hopes for this ball and all who have happened to roll one have had nothing but good to say about it.

I still believe everything competitive bowler should own a urethane.

I gotta admit, I was a little disappointed with the amount of hook this thing still gets...Threw it last night and still had to play 15/6. But it does hit hard...really hard actually...makes a different sound when hitting the pins.

I'm going to add a motion hole tonight and try again tonight to see if I can get a little more push down lane.

I thought a motion hole helped the ball turn, not go longer.  Pardon my ignorance.
