What other surfaces have you guys tried on the Ghost? And what did you see from said surfaces? I am thinking of doing a pin down Ghost but I am not a big fan of any OOB Surface.

Since OOB surfaces are so difficult to replicate, when the time comes, many people, myself included, strongly recommend to reset the surface of every ball to one you think appropriate to the ball, your style and the oil on which to use it. That way, when you need to adjust it, or you need to refresh it, it is easy to replicate.

Correctly stated.

Yes Charlest that is why I am asking the question. If you didn't my entire post I stated I am not a fan of ANY OOB Surface.
Now Charlest answer the question at hand...try to remember I am not a novice

If I recall, you have slightly higher than average ball speed, compared to rev rate. But I don't know what oil amount on which you intend to use it. For a general test, I"d start with a fresh 750/1000 grit pad, for 20 seconds per side for 4 sides, followed by a fresh 3000 grit pad for 10 seconds per side for 4 sides with light pressure on both applications.
If that is too early, take it up a notch with a 2000 pad followed by a 4000 pad.
If the first test goes too long, or reads the midlane too late, try 500 pad followed by 1500/2000 pad.
Hope that concept helps.

I hit mine with a dry 2K abralon pad to give it more teeth. I am a higher speed bowler (and about 390-400 rpm) and the 3K OOB surface was too clean for me.
I am liking the added teeth as the ball reads the midlane better when in the soup.
