Motiv Primal Scream Review
« on: November 26, 2012, 03:01:55 PM »
The new Primal Scream from Motiv is a great compliment to the Motiv family of balls. I have 3 of them as of today. One is drilled pin down, no hole. One is drilled pin up with no extra hole, and one is drilled pin up with an extra hole. The one with the pin up with an extra hole is the most violent on the backends, great for long oil or high volume. The Primal Scream will be one of the first balls out of my bag on high volume conditions. Despite being the same cover, these balls have defined differences in motion. The covers are all very easily modified (usually shined) for added length OR sanded for rolling earlier.

I purchased this ball three weeks ago; it's my first Motiv ball. teammates have urged me to get one for about a year, and I finally broke down with the Primal Scream. Pin over bridge, CG strong but not out enough to require an x-hole.

Strong. Long. powerful. Great backend! Plenty of recovery if you move deep. I find the back end more powerful than the VG nano.... maybe a bit more length too with similar drillings. With speed, I am able tot the ball down the lane and still have tons of recovery when moving left.

All in all, a great ball!  Two thumbs up!
