Primal scream drill
« on: December 27, 2012, 02:33:53 AM »
Just ordered my first motiv, the primal scream. I have a whole bag of storm n wanted to venture out a bit. Looking for input on drill patterns for fresh. Currently using iq tour 5x6x2 that is good but leaves corners when there is not enough friction. Pap5rt 1/8up. Speed 18mph revs 400. Thnx for any help.

Motiv staffers have enough time to copypaste advertisement blurbs as their ball reviews, but they can't recommend a layout for an actual customer.
I have a Raptor P7, pin down. It works well, but the primal scream would probably react great with a pin up drill.
In the bag:

Roto Grip Magic Gem
Motiv Primal Shock
Hammer Ocean Vibe

if you want help with any ball layout it helps to have your stats without them  all they can do is give you a generic layout. try watching the videos and see if you match any of those bowlers  if you use their layout with your pap

The Motive Primal Scream is intended to be more of a skid/flip reaction.  Compared to the IQ Tour, it might not perform as well on the fresh.  Of course, changes in surface will help in its reaction on fresh.

But if your IQ Tour is having a hard time turning the corner, then the Primal Scream may be some help.  This would depend on the length of the pattern you are bowling on.  Trying to get a drill without the pattern is just as difficult as getting a drill without the bowler's specs.

Personally, I would get with your driller to determine the appropriate drill.  He would know the most about your game and the shot you are bowling on.  Getting a drill from online (even if it is the best staffer and best driller) should only be a piece of information in the final decision, not the final say-so.

Thnx guys. I appreciate the responses. I look forward to getting on the lanes and seeing what the primal does. Have an update later in the week.
