Been out of the game about 7 years.  Proshop recommended I try Motive and ordered me in the Tribal.  My stats about 250 RPMS 17 MPH ball speed.  42 ft THS.  Looking for suggestions on laying out the ball.  In this house, the shot tightens up after about 4 frames.  Pretty sure its carrydown you go from the pocket to leaving the rail every 3-4 frames.  Can't move inside until the 3rd game.

Thanks.

Sounds a lot like the house I bowl in. Our house shot is 41' and I'd st on the heavy side. I've got my Tribal laid out pin under the bridge, cg kicked 45*. With this layout the ball gives me great length and a nice hard arcing backend motion. Almost snappy when its fresh, but still enough energy to carry once the carry down starts acting up.

Honestly, I would say trust your driller. He knows the shot I'm sure and more importantly, can watch you bowl and knows your game. That's the most important part. Usually when I suggest something for a customer I already have an idea of what kind of layout they'll need on it.

One more thing, you won't regret going with Motiv. I love my Tribal. Great piece. I've also got a Venom Toxin, Primal Rage, and Raptor Talon. I have yet to be disappointed with a Motiv. Awesome products.

I went to a show (for lack of a better word) and paid $25 just to see what new balls were going to be introduced and was very disappointed that they charged the fee given it was same old, same old.

Trust the one who recommended the ball, the proshop, they should know your game and the center and conditions.

The Sting that comes out next month is really good, will be earlier and a little more overall than the Tribal. Very useful ball on a lot of conditions, worth looking into if you feel something that will be a little more overall will help you out as the lanes tighten up or if you could just use a little more ball in general.
