The Tank Rampage Pearl is unique. It features the Frixion™ M6 Pearl MCP cover and the Gear V2 core used on the Tank Rampage.
This new weapon offers easier length and great continuation without sacrificing that silky smooth urethane motion.
The Tank Rampage Pearl will provide more length and more shape than the Tank Yellowjacket on lighter oil conditions.
I had the chance to try this ball and it is exactly what Motiv describes. I tried this ball on a house shot after our trio league ended. There was a little bit of friction and the Rampage Pearl worked great. The ball is very clean through the front part of the lane and when it sees some friction, it has a smooth motion down the lane.
As you can see on the video review, the Tank Rampage Pearl is very forgiving, when I missed outside my target, the ball had enough recovery to hit the pocket with good carry. Misses inside offered enough hold to not go sideways.
Overall, the Tank Yellowjacket is stronger and provides more flare than the Tank Rampage Pearl. The Tank Rampage Pearl is cleaner and it has a slower reaction to friction than the Yellowjacket. I feel that people who use urethane a lot will find the Tank Rampage Pearl to be a great ball to have in the bag.
When I tried this ball on fresh, the Tank Rampage Pearlallowed me to play up the boards with some success. However, for a low rev bowler like me, this ball really shines where there is some built in friction or on ligther oil conditions.
I also see this ball in play when there is too much over/under and when you need to control the backend and everything else in the bag hooks too early or too much.
Overall, the Tank Rampage Pearl is a nice addition . It will be a great option to use on house patterns with lower volumes of oil and short oil patterns.
Thank you for watching!
