Couldn't be happier
« on: June 12, 2014, 10:03:12 AM »
After two league nights with my primal rage, I am convinced it is the ball of my dreams. It was drilled with an earlier rolling drill, and I cannot put it away. Shot 585 on what I felt was a horrendous night in terms of accuracy and 658 on decent night with a 185 average. Dad had a tribal drilled for lots of length and back end, and shot 653 in league with a 185 average. Both of us are amazed with these two balls that Motiv has put out.

You should look at the Sigma Sting as well. It gives you the same amount of overall hook as the Primal Rage, but a different shot shape.

What else is there to say about the Tribal. I really enjoyed the beat down Ronnie Russell gave using the Tribal on the Bear pattern. Talk about a bowler having a ball that matched up to the conditions, he just killed it with that ball.

I picked up the Primal Rage last month and I totallly agree that this ball is something special.  The ball reaction and ability to read the lanes matches up to my game like a glove and I can stick with this ball throughout a league session.  I have had success on the THS shot and several Kegel sport shot patterns.  I am a Motiv believer and just picked up a Covert Revolt before I head to Reno for USBC Nationals.  I'm anxious to see how both balls will roll for me next week.

I couldn't imagine needing anything other than the primal rage on a ths. It is strong enough that I don't need my mastermind, and I can keep moving left without losing hitting power, making it rare that I will ever use my misfit pearl again.

The Primal Rage is a THS shot monster.  The majority of times I rolled it in league play, I never have to change balls except for my plastic spare ball.  It's a great piece of equipment that gives a consistent reaction as long as I don't make a targeting or release error on a shot.  I may need to pick one up and keep it tucked away as a replacement.

I have found the ball I've always been looking for in the Primal Rage. I do not have a high ball speed and the Rage tames every oilier shot for me. I've never owned a ball like it before. I also picked up the Tribal and it has really evened out shots with big backends for me. I have also found if the lanes are oily I can move outside and play an up and in line and the Tribal destroys the shot. What a great pair of bowling balls Motiv have in these two!
