On the shelf.... This new Primal Scream will not be missed on the pro shop shelves. The color combo is amazing. The bright orange logo just make it that much more eye-catching.

On the Lanes... The new Primal Scream is what you all have been waiting for. A Motiv piece that has tremendous recovery down lane. This was easily 5-6 boards stronger down lane then my 2 Cruel. I had a few people around me watching this ball perform. The pro shop guys came out to see what all the noise was about. The Primal Scream hits extremely hard, as all Motiv balls do, but they came to see how much I was covering the lane. They know that I am typically more down and in, and they (including me) were amazed at the boards I covered. The Primal Scream allowed me to get my feet as far as 36 and my target sights were from 22-8 at the break zone. The most amazing thing about this was that I was still getting all ten in the pit from this deep.

In Conclusion... This is by far the most, eye-catching, hardest hitting, most back end ball that Motiv has ever produced. If you are looking to find a ball that will cover boards and still carry the corners, then get your hands on a Motiv Primal Scream. I am already going to place my order for at least one more tomorrow.

COMMENTS:

Likes: Aggressive midlane with a fast response to friction. Works on everything I have tested it on thus far. Great continuation through the pins!

Dislikes: May be a little squirty when there is some oil down lane. I have a feeling if I had another drilled a bit stronger I wouldn't be saying that. *May force the bowler to start considerably deeper in the oil than he/she likes to.

I consider the Primal Scream to be a high friction production ball with a quick response to friction. For those who like the Sigma Hybrid, this piece would be a great addition to their arsenal. The Hybrid is a high friction production, slow response to friction ball. That is where the difference between the two balls really comes out. I find that the Scream easily hooks as much as anything we currently offer in the MOTIV line up. It has become my personal benchmark ball as I am slightly speed dominant. It matches up on everything I have thrown it on so far with some minor physical adjustments. The other thing I really love about the Scream is the fact that I don't have to scuff the daylights out of it. I haven't had to change the surface to lower than 2000 grit Abralon. I get ample midlane read without the ball looking like a piece of charcoal. Keep in mind that if you were on a ton of volume, then you could sand the Scream to 500/1000 and it would pick up without a doubt. The Whiplash coverstock is truly something special!
