Hey y'all, the Subzero Forge from Motiv is now available to everyone.

Summary is new solid cover with the duramax additive that helps the ball retain surface grit, and resist lane shine, wrapped on the detonator core that's been in every forge line ball to date. What that means is this is a really strong, really early piece for heavier volumes. It's the prototypical slower bleeder type ball for sharp backends and one that will just dig in the puddle. In Motiv comparisons it's very similar to the Forge Flare was, and it's a bit more dynamic down lane than a Raptor Fury, while being as strong, if not stronger overall.

I'm pretty impressed with what i've seen out of this one in that it stands up earlier than an Evoke, and just isn't a hook to dead forward as most of the previous really strong balls that Motiv has produced.

This isn't one at box finish i'm finding myself able to use for a whole league night, but on the fresh it gives a huge foot print and great control when the backends are really crispy. On sport patterns this is the strong bleeder benchmark piece to start with. I cannot say it enough, that this one really is strong, it's a step up from any of the previous Forge's in total hook, and for the few customers we've drilled it for and my own experiences, it probably is the strongest ball Motiv offers at this time.

Stronger than the Raptor Fury ab Ghost??

Definitely, the Raptor Fury might see it as much in the fronts but that ball is substantially more forward and slower downlane, the Subzero isn’t fast downlane by any means, but it keeps hooking where the fury locks up.

The Ghost is still one of my all time favorites, but that cover isn’t that strong in oil these days and it lane shines so fast, I see it as a definite step down from the subzero.

After giving this one a try, I find it to be the earliest rolling ball in the Motiv lineup. For me, the Raptor Fury and the Ambush are both stronger when measured by boards covered.

It’s definitely strong, interesting that you see more boards covered by other two, I never vibed with the Ambush and quickly relegated it to a ball to practice with and that’s it, and the fury just didn’t get a lot of lane time because of how forward it would get and that would minimize the usage window of it for me. I threw the Fury next to the Subzero a few more times recently as I’ve been working on some video of the new Rush, and still see the Subzero as earlier and more overall for me, but that’s just my experiences. Subzero has been a big hit in my area though, lot of happy customers throwing it as their top of arsenal strong ball.
