Motiv Tag Cannon
« on: July 24, 2017, 01:00:15 PM »
Let me just start by saying I loved the Original Tag, so for me I had big expectations for the Cannon. I decided on a stronger layout on my Cannon going with a 70x4x35 layout which give me a good amount of length with a very strong move off the friction and cover a lot of lane overall.

I will be primarily using this for league which uses a 43 ft THS with limited head oil, however I was able to test it out on the Sphinx Sport shot and was pleasantly surprised with the ball motion I was able to create playing straight up 8. The next night I gave it a go on the house shot only to find became even more usable than I predicted. Every shot I threw it became more and more predictable, shots that drifted right seemed to always make the corner and find the pocket, and the shots missed inside were able to hold long enough to hit high in the head pin and still carry. Throughout the night I became more and more confident with every shot seemingly hitting harder and harder than the last.

If your looking for a ball you can use on a league night or even lighter sport shots this one is a winner if you ask me.

The Tag Cannon is intended for lighter oil and creates a fast response to the friction. The pearl cover gives this ball a very defined motion at the back of the lane as you would expect from a pearl ball but with a predictable motion Motiv is known for.

At this price point you are getting every bit of your moneys worth!

This ball is the newest introduction into the Tag line of MOTIV bowling balls. The MOTIV Tag Cannon features the new Agility SFP (Skid-Flip Pearl) reactive coverstock combined with the Halogen core.  It's super clean through the front of the lane, makes an unbelievable move off the spot and has all the backends you will be looking for and then some.   And let's not leave out that it goes through the pins with extreme continuation.

It will be a great fit in your bag on medium to light oil.  When you don't think any ball will go through the heads, this ball will fly through them.

My Tag Cannon is laid out with the pin above and to the right of the ring finger, the cg under the ring finger and has no extra hole. To say it's clean through the front part of the lane would be a huge understatement, however it does not miss the mids.  The move it makes is like nothing I've seen before and it's continuation through the pins is something you have to see to believe. This ball is going to get A LOT of play for me on medium to light oil.
