Tribal Solid
« on: May 20, 2014, 10:38:42 AM »
So Ronnie Russell tweeted a pic out of a ball a little bit ago saying he was getting ready to tackle the bear.

Spangler replied with #fireball.

If you look at the lettering on the side, it looks like it starts to say "Tribal."  I'm betting the Tribal solid is on its way soon.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?

More importantly, look at that Hyroad Solid to the top of the photo.

They come out with a ball roughly every 45 days if you look at release dates. The only reason the new Tribal and another new motiv ball are at the Summer Swing is because of the PBA ruling and ability to use unreleased equipment during it because the shows won't air until they are approved and released

The other ball looks more like the Storm Optimus. Looks polished with red, white, and what appears to be a small spot of blue.

Not USBC approved yet. Doesn't PBA equipment require that?

Nope not required for the swings.
Since they wont air until after their release dates. Im not really fond of how that is done. Since most of it will be spotted and pointed out on social media.

Motiv releases them at a LOT slower pace than any of the other manufacturers.  Most other manufacturers release several all at the same time.  How many has Storm released in the last couple months?  Motiv had the Venom Shock last month, the Ascent this month, then it will be something else next month most likely.  The other companies usually release several at the same time.

In looking at his span, why does he have a slightly dropped RF? I mean, what purpose does this serve? .... Just trying to learn something here as I have same span on both fingers and thinking about lengthing the RF 1/16.

Usually it's to cut down on revs, however that's just the way some people's hands are.  The ring finger span is sometimes shorter than the middle finger span.  Could be just a regular fit.

Storm release 8 balls a year, non color change. 2 Premier, 2 Master, 2 Thunder, 2 Hot. Now with urethane moving up the ladder, we may see an extra ball here or there. But they average 1 ball every month and a half. Which is equal to the 45 day deal. Storm gets them out so the staffers can use them for the Summer Swing, the World Series and bowl expo.
