Need a versatile "Benchmark" Ball
« on: October 17, 2018, 11:46:09 AM »
Ballers,

Returning from a 7 year absence from bowling, military and life took priority.
Looking for a ball that would be a replacement to my ancient Ebonite Total NV.
Bowl primarily on a medium, medium heavy shot at 2 different houses, HPL surfaces.
Speed Dominant, 17-18mph, 350 rpms, medium tilt.

Been looking at the Venom Shock, Forza SS and Trident Quest.

Picked up a Shock and had it punched pin down, see how I roll on Wednesday.

Thanks!

Venom Shock for sure.  It's absolutely one of the best out there.  Or, if you can get your hands on any ball that has the Sigma Core, you'll also be in great shape.

Keep us posted.  Might have to get me another NIB to squirrel away myself.
Here today.  Gone tomorrow.

Update:

Ringing 10 pins in the first game and a few solid 9 pins to shoot 194, ended up shooting 696 with a 247 and 255 respectively in games 2 and 3.  Once i figured out the fact that i could throw the purple blue beauty out there to the breakpoint I was really able to establish a gianomorous pocket, ball is a beast.  I hit the ball with some power gel polish to start the night and it definitely was angular for me.

Best $155 dollars spent by far.

Amen brother, in my opinion, it's the best value on the market currently.
"If guns kill people, do pencils misspell words?"

"If you don't stand for our flag, then don't expect me to give a damn about your feelings."
