primal scream vs primal rage question
« on: June 14, 2013, 06:04:02 AM »
how would these 2 balls compare with each other? i see that the scream has a shade more hook while the rage has a notch more back end...i know the covers are different but was gonna invest in one or the other and just wanted some input

...thanks

While it may be educational to put the same finish on both balls, drill them the same and see how they compare, remember their cores are the only thing that's the same.
They use different coverstocks (Whiplash vs Fusion),
they use different types (solid Scream vs pearl Rage) and
they use different surfaces (1500 grit polished vs 4000 grit dull).

Keep in mind, also, that house patterns AND the bowler's release/delivery hide or, at least, reduce the differences between balls; so that both could be suitable on normal house shots, but there could be a large difference on sport patterns.

I just drilled both (last week)... Rage was pin up, scream is pin by ring finger.. rage is easily 5 boards stronger. The left-over day after league shot I bowled on, I ad to get in front of the ball-return with the rage, not with the scream. although both had great continuation and stored energy.
