I can only speak for 1 of the balls. I have a Tribal Fire and I am finding, at my current house, that ball is much stronger than advertised. My pin is located right of the ring finger, cg below the ring and this ball hooks really early. Although I have used it at another house and it had decent length. I really like the way this rolls and hits though.
Based on your comments, I would like to recommend adding a Primal Rage (assuming you want to try Motiv). Based on your comments, we could be very similar bowlers...only I am the right hand version. The Primal Rage has proven to be a very versatile ball. I have the pin up and it goes long and when it makes its turn it is very continuous. The best part is if/when you run into a condition that requires you to open up the lane a bit, this will do that and still finish. I have a Byte drilled skid/flip and the motion is the shape is similar to the Primal Rage, but playing a deeper inside line, I would leave or trip weak 5,7's and stuff, where Primal Rage seems to drive through and kick out the corners. Something I have always battled.
I have since added another Motiv ball to my bag (Ascent Apex).....so pleased with how Motiv rolls for me. Funny thing is I bowl with a friend who in many cases selects her arsenal based on how it matches her outfits (or smells), so unless there was purple or pink, it was out of the question. Well she is saying she really wants a Primal Rage...hoping it will roll for her like it rolls for me. We shall see on that. Her husband throws an Octane, and he does very well with that ball.
I have a nephew that uses nothing but Motiv and his recommendation to anyone considering Motiv, to get the Primal Rage....which is how I ended up with that. I won the Tribal Fire in a contest. 2 completely different looks (the way they are layed out). But both are very continuous rolling balls!
Back to your original comment...of the 2 Motivs you mentioned, I would then suggest the Tribal, as it has the same cover as the Primal Rage. I had not seen many Motivs used in my area but they are slowly starting to appear on many of the ball racks. The pro shop even put a couple on display.
Give Motiv a try and I suspect you'll be pleasantly surprised!!
