Lot's of people want to joke about all Motiv balls being illegal. I've heard the joke a thousand times.
At least we can say that our bowling balls are not made in Mexico. It really pisses off the Brunswick devotees, So, of course, I have to keep doing it.
Why does it matter? So many daily items are not made in the US. If where a bowling ball is made is such a big deal to you then get rid of everything else you own that's made outside the US.
Would it be nice if Brunswick still manufactured everything in the US? Of course, but a businesses main priority is to make a profit and stay open
Question for you SVStar... How could Brunswick not turn a profit manufacturing in Michigan, while Motiv is/can?
I'd say it's pretty clear sales for Motiv are better than they are for Brunswick. But I'm sure you already knew that, so what's your point? If they can't turn a profit, their choices are to shut down or find a way to cut expenses. Either way, people lose their jobs.
Motiv's sales gimmicks (mainly the neomark logos) are better than Brunswicks sales gimmicks. Isn't that how any business turns a profit in a location that other companies couldn't?
the neomark isn't a gimmick. It's a real thing. And the reason Motiv has better numbers is because their balls do not die and people actually like them. A "gimmick" would be the new coverstock tech that some companies are pumping out.... or they are actually admitting they have caught up to 2010 tech after being behind for a decade.
What the heck does "it's a real thing" have to do with whether or not it's a gimmick?
Gimmick - a trick or device intended to attract attention, publicity, or business
A technique to drive sales that "isn't a real thing" isn't a gimmick, it's fraudulent advertising.
That's nothing against Motiv, I have several of their balls and like them just fine. My Brunswick balls are also good. For that matter, so are my Utah balls and Kentucky balls.
