I was not expecting to be wowed this much by this piece. It's hard to sum up everything I like about this ball in words, and when you see one go down the lane in person, you'll know what I mean.

The Gear core and I have gotten along very, very well in the past, so seeing a bigger cover wrapped around it gives me a new favorite option in the medium category for me. I'm the kind of guy that would throw a Shock on everything he could, so having a Blitz as an option for higher volume stuff is great. I find myself running over the 8 pin when I play straighter with the ball, and to my surprise, it recovers very well for something this smooth when I miss outside early. It takes well to a handful of different surfaces, and I find myself even able to use it on lighter volume stuff with 4k, but also able to tackle very high volume with 1000. It likely won't be getting polish, but that's what the Supra is for, right?

This is probably the most positive review I've ever written on a bowling ball, but then again, this is, in my opinion, the BEST medium smooth ball Motiv has EVER produced.

The all new Tank Bllitz comes with the Gear core and a newer version of the Frixion + microcell polymer. It comes with a 2,000 LSS finish. This ball reads the lanes early. I can't say anything bad about this ball. When other balls are carrying down lane a little too long and not carrying, this ball reads the lane in the right part of the lane and rolls into the pocket allowing for better carry. This ball has a quick read in the middle of the lane, but once the initial move is made, it stays very continuous and smooth the rest of the way. This ball rarely over reacts, but will if you are getting too much dry. This is one of my favorites right now in the lineup.

I threw this ball for the first time this week and I have never been more impressed by a ball. Motiv hit a home run and they are at the top of the industry with the development of the Microcell polymer cover stock. The Tank Blitz has an enhanced version of the Frixion cover from the Covert Tank creating a stronger version. The Frixion+ has a very smooth shape without an over response to friction. Throughout league night my moves were minimal and the carry is awesome. The way it reads the mid lane makes it very predictable and easy to control. Let me make this clear, this ball is not urethane! It absorbs oil at a faster rate so it does not create carry down like traditional urethane, but it has a similar shape which is a definite plus over urethane. As the night went on, I never lost continuation or hitting power as I moved deeper on the lane. Bottom line, this ball is a must have. Whether you bowl league or tournaments, it offers a motion that is different from anything on the market.

ball rolls nice, however i was throwing it like crap.  felt bad, had an off night that just so happened to coincide with throwing that ball for the first time.

After taking my Blitz to the lower volume house finally got a feel for this ball.  This ball makes it move early (even polished) and then goes no matter and continues all the way through the pin deck (thus the amazing carry).  It doesn't ever really stand up and quit from what I have seen.  That said too much friction causes it to hook harder and sooner and makes it real easy to go high.  Really have to keep it in the oil and be aggressive moving in with it on lighter volumes.  The more oil you can find the better the reaction from what I have seen so far.  Ball doesn't have a lot of recovery if leak shots right as doesn't react as strong to friction as strong reactives.  If you have the oil and are consistent can pipe strikes all day long with it though.  Ball really loves the fresh.

All ball surface changes no matter the cover stock material.  Seems like it holds its surface a little better than most reactives but not like a Blue Hammer urethane or anything.  Ball is awfully early as it is so that seems like a ton of surface.
