New lineup
« on: December 22, 2019, 04:27:59 PM »
Ok, time to start drawing some parallels here. I've gotten some recommendations, and watched some videos, looked at numbers, and I think I may have something, but wanna ask.

So I was told this by a good friend that works there.

Alpha
Scorn
Fire
Shock
Supra
Blitz

I was really leaning towards a Ghost at the top, Scorn AND og Villain (they really remind me of the Break), Fire, Shock, Supra and Blitz. He really likes the Assassin and I looked and it's like someone said, it looks very Phase 2 ish.

To replace what's in my bag right now, I'd see the Alpha replacing the Dream On, just less torque, Villians being kinda Break like, Supra being a Drift replacement, Assassin replacing the Night Hawk se, the Blitz being a bigger X, and I really don't have a fire equivalent.

Thoughts? Only carrying 6 or 7 balls to cover everything seems foreign to me lol

IMO at OOB surface Tank Blitz and Fire Forge are same total hook/strength.  FF is longer and harder move...Tank Blitz earlier and smoother.  All things being equal.

I like it. I would personally want to grab up one of the Rogue balls for that Sigma Core, but you have good coverage with that lineup regardless.
Current Rotation:
PhysiX
Code X
Code Black
Axiom Pearl
Phaze III
Trend
IQ Tour

I do like how the Assassin shapes in the videos I have seen.

Hydra is a better burn ball than Supra imo and almost as angular.  Hexion cover is legit awesome.  Hydra would be the 900 Boost and Thrill would be the After Dark.

Hydra is possibly close to a Boost Cardinal Red pearl but Thrill 15 lb 2.57 .015 is no where near an ADP 15 lb. 2.56 .030.

Stats on paper wise no but motion on lane is similar from what I have seen.  Both go real long and are mild on the back end.  After Dark has more core but slightly less cover stock imo but yeah not quite complete equivalents will admit (Thrill slightly less angular).

Just my opinion Doom. I think those are great choices to start with. The only missing piece may be a Rogue Assassin or Blade (Sigma Core). Tank Blitz will give you a motion that you probably have never seen before. I used to be with 900 Global, the big difference you are going to see is shape. Motiv really prides itself on creating different shapes through the line. For me, the Rogue Assassin,  Forge Fire, Tank Blitz, Supra and Alpha Jackal are homerun balls. Let us know if you have any other questions about any other balls.

The Tank Blitz will most likely be my next acquisition. I don't really have the need for the top line asymms but marketing always has me drooling over the new releases.

Highly recommend the addition of a Venom Shock Pearl in the bag. It's got OG IQ Tour Pearl vibes. So easy to get length and so smooth and continuous off friction.

900 Global must be doing some house cleaning. Sorry to hear Doom. I know of at least 3-4 people that do awesome work as staffers that got either cut or left. Only thing i throw 900 now is the TT and just got some Storm/Roto stuff to drill for the new year.

I've used Motiv, 900 Global, and Storm for a few yeas now. I used the Black Ops a LOT and the After Dark Pearl is/was a gem for burnt lanes. Didn't have a lot of luck other release, maybe poor fit, choices etc.

I wasn't impressed with the Scorn.  It was very condition specific and did not have a lot of versatility.  A Rogue Blade would be better or possibly a Ghost at 4000.
