What's the real "rub" with the Redline?
« on: May 28, 2016, 07:17:03 PM »
I know guys including myself who have had good success with the Redline, yet I read that many are reluctant to state praise for this ball.  Just curious as to why?  Your thoughts?
Thanks

I bought a redline to replace my virtual gravity on the recommendation of my pro shop operator......I find it a good ball for the first game only.....towards the end of the first game it loses its back end reaction and I need to switch to another ball

I found it to be longer and more angular than my Forza(same layout), but I was very  surprised at how strong it was at the breakpoint. It needs more oil than I regularly see in my neck of the woods, but when the oil's there, the Redline works very well indeed.

At first, I wasn't too impressed with the Redline because of the over/under reaction I got from it and it was a little stronger in the backend than expected. But after about 6 full games with it I got a better feel on how well the ball compliments the Forza. It's a good ball with great carry as long as bowlers don't try to throw the make the ball reaction look like a skid/snap ball. What I learned with the both balls is that when the Forza is checking up too early when the lanes starts to transition you just have to play 2-3 boards to the left with the Redline; so no huge adjustment.

not enough backend for me.  I thought that it transitioned slowly. My venom panic had way more backend.
