Octane Carbon vs. VSP

Anyone have both?  If so, how do they compare to each other and to the Venom Shock?

Had an Octane Carbon, until it cracked. I still throw the Venom Shock, Venom Cobra and Venom Shock Pearl.

Venom Shock is earlier and probably 4 boards or more stronger overall. I don't see much difference in the VS Pearl than I did with the Octane Carbon, but it's been a few months since I threw a Carbon.

If you already have the Carbon, get the Venom Shock(original), I think the VS Pearl occupies the same slot in your bag as the Octane Carbon.

Carbon is quite a bit longer than the VSP, and they are very similar in overall strength for me.

I like my VSP better on most conditions, but when the lanes break down and you need to jump in I have had very good fortune with the Carbon.

If bowling on a THS I wouldn't keep both in my bag, but there is some noticeable difference in them.

Gentlemen,
You both gave me actually the analysis of the balls I was looking for.
Thank you both.
I swear the non-staffers are the folks in the know.
The staffers "sugarcoat" every aspect that usually proves to be "off the mark" in the real world.  All the staffers are interested in is filling their "quotas" with useless ball reviews.

While both balls might be close to each other, in my experience the Octane Carbon is cleaner and more angular than the VSP. The VSP reads the lane a bit earlier and has a rounder shape down the lane. I really liked both, but to answer your question the VSP is way closer to the Venom Shock than the Carbon.
