First timer with Motiv
« on: April 11, 2011, 03:57:52 PM »
I drilled up a SR2 last week, looking for a different reaction in a bowling ball (tired of skid/snap).  Friend told me forever to get one of these and glad I did.

We drilled it pin next to the ring finger, CG kicked out 45 degrees with a weight hole.  I bowled on Dick Weber Pattern and went +98 for 6 games.  Games of 256 and 279 were my highlights, ball would read, hook and hit!  Hope to have a Video up soon.

With my ball speed near 18 mph, and a hi rev rate, its the best read ball I've ever own.  Can't wait to drill up the TR2!

Theres a good amount of Motiv being thrown in my area and the SR2 is just awesome in almost everyones hands. I just got one and redrilled and love the reaction, strong roll on the back portion of the lane and not too flippy, just powerful roll and it has matched up to the conditions here well giving me good carry.

I am glad to hear so many people are having success with the products! I just signed and am getting acclimated to all my new equipment.

I really like the SR2 as it is the perfect combination of hook and roll. It's my benchmark ball personally. Then if the lanes are really oily or longer condition I will use my TR2 which just gives a strong, smooth roll. When the fronts go away on those oily patterns I love to use the Cruel as a ball down from the TR2. Total hook is very similar, but the Cruel is later and more angular.

If I come in and the SR2 is reading too early and I can't get it through the front the QZ2 is a monster in this regard. It is about 5 boards cleaner than the SR2 and really packs a strong punch down lane. This works well on a tighter line and when I have to get in a cover some boards.

For shorter and drier patterns I have both Recons, the orange and silver one. Orange I drilled 50 x 2.5 x 20 with a hole on PAP. very heavy rolling and smooth, good for fresh. when the break down I'll transition to the silver Recon which is 50 x 3.5 x 70 with a hole approximately 2.5" below my PAP.

If anyone is curious my Cruel is 60 x 5 x 40 with no hole, SR2 is 60 x 5 x 70 w/ no hole, QZ2 is 50 x 4.5 x 70 no hole, and TR2 is 55 x 4.5 x 40 (compliment the Cruel)

I am very happy with my decision to become part of the Motiv team, our products roll tremendously and hit really hard.

Not many people throw Motiv where I am from (Long Island) and it's my belief that eventually more people will give us a try as we do make a great line of equipment. I just think some may be skeptical b/c we are still growing and as a ball manufacturer haven't been around that long (although we made cores for Brunswick for years). It's only human nature to be resistant to change, or something new.

If anyone has any questions feel free to message me and I will gladly help.

Take Care,
